Default mk3 fiesta engine conversion

Dose anyone know of a mk3 fiesta with a 2.9 24v cosworth engine in it because im thinking of doing it but i just want to know if its a very big job to do i know there is lots of work involved do i need to extend the front end or anything like that if anyone can help on me on this befor i take on the job

i would wanna no how you build a 16 valve 2.9 cosworth engine tbh any think can be done as its metal at the end of the day. all depends on your skill/ amount of cash to pour into it

sorry 24v i was thinking about the rs2000 when i was writing it but i have already done that so i was looking for somthing diffrent so i was ment to say 24v cosworth

ive seen a 2.9 12v/24v in a mk1 fiesta on a website somewhere so no reason why it cant be done to a mk3. Theres even a mk2 XR2 with a 3.5 Rover V8 thats been advertised for sale on pistonheads and ebay a long time ago but cant remember if it was rear engined or not.
Not entirely sure what other work had to be done but it must have been a pretty big job. Maybe modify the bulkhead or something.
Would be interesting to drive though

ive seen one in a mk 2 and it was tight and theres less room in a mk3

i would think first stop would be getting the battery in the boot then mounting the a rad forward as much as possible then the only thing that could cause an issue is the brake servo

i would think the duratec v6 is lighter and easier to mount

depends if ya mean leaving it front wheel drive id say forget it there massive dont think theres a front wheel drive box that;ll fit and it would handle like a pig

iirc the duratec v6 is lighter than a zetec and theres no gearbox issues i dunno why there not used more often

try a duratec with hiabusa injectors n throttle bodies omex management loads o power
