I wish I would have bought a set as well, I was still undecided three weeks ago when they were still on. If anybody knows of a place please post it here.

also does anyone know the recomended thickness for door card paneling?

there is no recommended thickness mate, just make sure you use enough rivets or rivnuts to hold the card secure to stop it from rattling/vibrating etc it's only there to cover a hole after all,

As for where to get them it depends on whether you want flat panels as per these like i had on my xr2 which cost about Ł20 for a carbon look


Cut them myself and used riv nuts to hold in place, cheap and looks good (once tape removed lol)

Or a proper moulded motorsport door panel as per the ones in my new fiesta


This style can be bought from various rally car specialist firms in carbon and grp etc, try the likes of MDV, m-sport etc as focus items were obviously made for the wrc cars so people have the moulds

I did a little more searching today and the thickness used for flat panel door cards is between .5mm and 1.5mm

Hello Gaz,

if you can send me a template I can have some sent back to you within 2 weeks with a discount for providing a template. Thickness would be under .7mm with a high gloss lacquered finish ensuring no yellowing in the future due to uv.
