They have been around for years,I have two of them I use.The first generation was a padlock locking one and since then different key varieties.As said though they can be peeled off by the rivet I think but you can mod them by putting a plate on the back.If anyone has pics could you post them up please.I just attacked mine with a welder and welded any gaps up

have had one for many years, but they need to be modded a bit , as they have a few very week spots, google will reveal all, probably youtube these days aswell.

i had to cut one off,went to scotland for the weekend parked the car in a car park and put the lock on,after the weekend went to remove the lock and realized i had left the key in the house,took me 45minutes to remove with only a screwdriver and an 1/2 inch ratchet as a hammer.

I've got one for my rs turbo, keep meaning to modify it. 2 plates over the hinge pin and 2 steel strips down the back either side so it can't be prised off, also wanted to fit a padlock to the bar that swings down to lock it, easily done with a welder so why nae??

very good point I work in securty and the best thing to stop theft is layers of security all can be broken for sure but the time and skill it takes to crack each level is what puts most off.

Is thare still a system were you can un-clip the stearing wheel ? like a F1 car ? allway though it was a neet solution thou carring round your wheel is a bit naff.
