Default cosworth problem

was out in my mates cosworth today at start the car was ok an seem to boost ok but not alot of bost but abit futher on when givein it a bit all off a sudden the bost seemed to kick in really hard an then a pop an like a miss fire which this wasnt doin before an you can really hear it bost as it sounds like it has a screamer pipe on which it hasnt the only thing he has done to it is change the plugs from ford anyone have any clues on why this is doin it

It sounds like it's over boosting, the wastegate might not be opening or a pipe has come off the turbo or actuator from the amel valve.

I would of thought the same on a pipe coming off. Mine did exactly the same and all it was is the pipe had come off the back of my boost gauge.

Hopefully a quick cheap fix
