Hello
I was reading retro ford the other day and they suggested a diesel conversion for a mk2 escort. I also remember them describing a diesel mk1 fiesta in malta. So basically my question is How easy/hard is it to convert an old ford to modern diesel power?
Thanks![](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/roi.gif)
EDIT: I forgot to ask, how expensive wpuld this be (dont need an exact figure, just "cheap", "expensive" or "best sell a kidney" would do)

depends how modern a diesel u want fella if u use the oldschool 1800 turbo diesel ford fitted it in p100 pick ups [rwd] so thats just a case of finding the right bits think this would be cheap with a bit of luck ,to come more modern i think best sell a kidney and prepare to lose yr right arm at least ,u might keep yr leg tho
