well how can it not be if it were a car dismantled by ford for spares? i accept that its prob only the chassis that is but it is still one of the original 200 in my eyes as i kno wot didnt go to rally teams or sold to the public were dismantled, not sure on specific numbers but all 200 cars were accounted for

well the chassis is so he claims....
you wouldnt buy an RS turbo shell, rebuild it and get rejected by the RSOC would you?
there does seem to be a certain snobbery over id's with RS200's and rs500's.
although how someone can say that a collector would not consider it a genuine rs200 is rediculous. its an original chassis so an original car, end of. sure its not worth as much due to its history but its still a rs200.

As mentioned its bits of other cars, it doesn't really carry any original history as far as the factory cars did but I agree it is still a Rs200 and obviously a rare one but I doubt its worth what a factory car would be.

They built more than 200 cars though so there were spare chassis's iirc.

TBH mate I know people with them and their values are a bit made up in all honesty, I have no doubt that car is worth a LOT of money in bits though, probably more so than sold whole.

I also find it a really interesting subject, as I do with any of the cars from that era, sadly few really know the facts and I only know what I'm told or have read and in fairness a lot of that could always be a load of bollocks lol
I am huge fan of the RS200, I'll never get to own one but appreciate the people that do and will use such a rare car.

british driver pat doran also used 4 stud wheels
infact that car in the top pic above would worry me as its not the kind of spec from back in the day

Yes were well aware they ran 4 wheel studs back then, it hardly look like that car in the picture sees much use though and even if it did were not talking the sort of use both of the cars you posted about will of seen.
You will notice that neither of the 2 cars in the pictures you posted have very big brakes though unlike the one at the show
