Default Petrol or diesel.....................

for roughly 120 miles a week, 20 a day stop start, sit in traffic type driving??

Need to get the missus a new motor as shes currently using our ST220 to do the nursury run and get herself to work costing £50 a week in fuel to sit in traffic!

Would you go small engined petrol or a decent diesel baring in mind, all running cost/maintenence??

Budget £1500 - £5000. ( The less the better for me!!)

little petrol for town stuff.

modern diesels will hate you for town driving and stuck in traffic and cost a fortune to repair.

get a 1.25 fez or similar.

VW/Audi diesel gets my vote. Sitting in traffic on tick over uses hardly any fuel anyway.

For that type of driving, deffo go for a little economic petrol

1.25 Fiesta, 1.2 Seat Ibiza or similar.

diesels only end up being more economical in the long run if your doing lots of motorway miles.....
