Default what engine for a rwd mk4 escort conversion ?

Hi guys im looking to rwd my mk4 escort this year, what engine options would you lot go for ? or car that i could get complete to use the engine box from ?

dunno bout buying complete , but if i was doing another id go honda s2000



rwd out the box ,


great engines , but depends what your using the car for ??

Ideally i want it to be a quick road car that will suprise a few people , I had thought about something like a jag v8 out of a xj8 or a 2jzgte out of the jap version of the lexus gs300, or anything apart from the normal cosworth yb engine

id go vauxhall 16v mated to a box be different there all cossie powerd

s2000 engines cost a far bit more than a cossie one or id just drop supra running gear in one

If you can find one I've heard a few people get bargain S2000 engine and gearbox packages.

personally id stay away from big heavy engines,

all alloy motors like the jap stuff and even some of the vaux rage are where its at ,

big strong revvers !!!
