Default 2.0 zetec timing question?

hey lads bit of 1 really

when timing a silvertop zetec which tool do you use the black or the silver pon that goes in the block?

if your not sure you've got the right length pin check the mark at crank pulley end or take crank pulley off and make sure woodruff key on crank is at 12 o clock and thats near as tdc
turn crank back slightly and put your pin in then and turn crank till it hits pin , if woodruff is not at 12 youve got wrong tool

think it's the black tool (the longer one of the two) which goes in a hole near the crank senser somewhere

BLACK one, as said stop just before tdc, insert pin after taking out the 10mm blanking plug/bolt at the base of the block on front face, then turn clockwise, as you look at crank pulley, if you have the plugs out you can actually hear it "ping" when the crank web contacts the pin's end.
