I'm always a bit sceptical about new parts, they might be faulty too! Until I've seen them working I don't trust them.

But should they all be working OK, I'd be looking at a compression test next.

You said you have changed the plugs and leads ...... Just go back and check to make sure you have got the fireing order correct

Wiring to the injector?you've just done the head iirc so a wire could easily have been damaged as they get very brittle over time.

Bell it out on your multimeter and give the wire a wiggle as well to see if the readings change.check the connector on cyl 1 injector spade hasnt popped back in therefore not making a connection.

Basic checks really as the cars obviously been running ok up until now.

Another way of checking the wiring would be to pull the injector out and try turning it over.you should get petrol out of it if alls well?I'd try the continuity test with the wiring first,I've been caught out on a Clio before with exactly that.

if the plugs on injectors are long enough, swap 2 plugs about for instance if cyl 4 isn't firing, swap #4 injector plug onto #3 and vice versa...that should eliminate wiring/ECU.

Another technique would be to tap into the wiring to measure voltage when running at that injector.

Would you also need to swap the corresponding plug lead?I'm just thinking if the ecu squirts the injector in on wire 1 but you've actually got injector wire 2 connected to prove a fault won't the misfire actually be worse as the spark for 1 will come on as usual yet the injector will squirt into cyl 2 as the ecu thinks it's actually 1 and vice versa.would swapping the leads to the respective cylinders cure this;I.e swap inj plug 1&2 and ALSO lead 1&2 so the fuel and spark correspond via the "tricked" ecu,if that makes any sense at all!!!!

ive swap two injectors over and the problem stays with no'1 so it cant be the injector.
ive pulled of the plug and put a multimeter on it and its getting voltage.

what does the ignition amp do?

I heard it go past the other day, I wouldn't drive it like that, how does the spark plug look? You need to make sure the cylinder is getting air, fuel & spark at the right time.

If it is DEFFO getting all the right ingredients. spark, fuel and air
then it can only be an issue of timing.

so have a quick check that the timing marks all line up.
if so, then you cant be getting one of the other 3!

Great stuff!!was it the injector earth or another earth?I had to solder minuscule amounts of wire into the Clio loom, some stupid rubber mounting thing had worn it right through.

The injector plug would still show voltage if if you measured live to body earth but it should have been dead if you measured between plug live and plug earth?often,as they bend round the the plug onto the injector that's where they go.

Glad you sorted it.
