Gutted!
But as said there's a silver lining, I have seen worse damage repaired, only going through insurance will most likely deem it a write off and a lot of headaches. So paying out of your own pocket would be the sensible option, that is if you want to keep it...
Did you just volunteer to repair it???![LOL](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Dan,
Jokes aside, I reckon that's done you a favour.
Obviously gutted for you that you've been in an accident, but with kids and real life in the way, it isn't worth having such an unuseable car.
Get shot of it, buy something quick but reliable and fun, and don't throw any more money at money pits...

deffo will be broken and sold in bits. was trying to get my old man to buy the engine and box for his MGB, but thats years off being resto'd lol
next dilemma will be deciding what to get for a family/half decent motor.
3 door cars will be a no go due to the kids, so unfortunatly no E46 M3's lol
Evo 8 is an option, but crap fuel and expensive parts if it goes wrong may be a downer lol
or we get something modest and do the kitchen lol
