Is the front diff in an xr4x4 & Cosworth the same?

My mate has a damaged MT75 gearbox from his 2.9 XR4x4 but the diff is OK. Are there any differences between the XR4x4 & Cosworth front diffs?

i think the XR4x4 2.0ltr are 3.9 im sure the 2.9 are the same as the cos 3.62

the mt75 is the same except for the first motionshaft is longer

I thought they were quite similar boxes Marco but I didn't know the motionshaft was longer.

It's a pointless question because the box is scrap but why would it have all 6 gears but knock in every gear but 4th? I'm just interested to know what could have failed.
