My dads new neighbour drives a mk5 cortina as his everyday driver, around 55-65 miles a day, winter, summer out in the rain etc, also has a 2L JPS capri he's just had painted, but still all stripped at mo, I like them myself could defo drive one daily, but prefer corsair 2000E.

Id use it as a daily as in the 10 minute journey to and from work. but wouldnt want it as an evening or weekend car. would be bit embarrassing as people wont get it.

I would have that all day long, My Grandad used to have a 2.0 Crusader in Silver and it was ace, right up until someone ran up the arse end in an Audi on Blackpool seafront, the Cortina was hardly marked but written off because of its age wheras the Audi was destroyed!

I'd love it as a daily, nice looking old girl it is, but then again am weird like that! The way i look at old stuff like that is ok, its old and primitive, but simple. No electronic wizardry to play up, and can be fixed with a roll of Duct tape and a big hammer, more or less.

Like it myself,but needs slamming,Rs 500/3dr alloys,Saph leather interior and pretty much job done.great fun in the snow as well!!!

No. As a weekend warrior fine, but dynamicaly compared to anything half modern it would be so shit, uncomfortable, noisy, slow, heavy steering, shit brakes, shit on fuel, unreliable, BROWN, etc you'd soon get tired of it.
Great weekend car, you'd soon get bored of it as a daily.

My old man sold his 08 diesel Mondeo and brought a T reg Cortina identical to that one earlier this yeatr as his daily drive. His had less than 17k on the clock and even had the plastic cover on the back seat that was put on at the factory!!!!!!!!
He is using it daily as he lives in France and can do all the repairs on this himslelf rather than having to trust a foreign dealership!!
I say go for it!!!

I always fancied driving a 1600 mk4 escort ghia as a daily that my grandad had- so i bought it off him and it was rubbish to drive on a daily basis- very cool i thought but very crap lol.

I'd have it no questions.
I nearly bought one in the same colour last year (but for a lot less money) but by the time I'd made arrangements to get to Nottingham to pick it up, it had gone :-(
