A quick looksie at a the Sierra Sierra Time Attack car (which is fitted with a 2.2L Cosworth motor) http://www.sierrasierra.com/car
First the EFR8374
220hp at 4000rpm
Whammo 717hp by 5000rpm.
Similar torque figures
And then the EFR9180
Blatant copy and paste from MLR

Ive used a s400sx good for 750bhp, in fact if you want one its in the for sale section with only 150miles on the clock it has ETT technology.
The latest range of BW turbos are steps ahead of anything Garrett have on offer. I use the latest Garrett gtx as it puffs the power, if rather sluggishly, but it will be replaced by the latest BW.
The Borg will be the very first twin scroll turbo on general sale, all Garrett turbos are an existing design made to work as twin scroll. Its not a direct replacement for a garrett, its longer. It has ceramic ball bearings & a speed sensor.

I sold i fiesta 1.25 engine on ebay. tried to cheat the fee and it sold for Ł1.20 When the guy came to pick it up he was gobsmacked i let him have it. In my eyes, if your gunna play the game your've got to be prepared to get bitten in the arse every now and then.

Mike, whats that got to do with BW turbos?
Rod, which model turbo you going for?
Im really eager to see how these perform and what the cost is like as ill be looking for a 350-450hp turbo later this year as I think my curent ebay effort will be a bit of a time bomb very soon.

Part of the Furniture
I thin k most ford owners Garret Turbo's as that what they came with out the factory, so we just bolt on a bigger one that fits the flanges, cheap and cheerful, as we dont have to change/redesign manifolds they are just off the shelf etc,
also we get used to the naming structure of garrets, but when you look at other turbo manufacturers with their completely different naming structure it makes it trickier to figure out what kind your looking for,
but im definately interested in learning more about the borg warner turbo's

I leave all that to Mark but their will be a turbo for all conversions. Hes discussing things with them at the mo. If it does what they say it is a break through no doubt about that. Problem is Its like computers/tv's you buy the best now & a year down the line its a heap of dung cos things have moved on.

The EFR range was launched at the end of November 2010 at Sema. Mark went over to have a chat & get details. Its a turbo designed from scratch, not an improvement on last years model.

Last I heard there were reliability problem during testing of the EFR range Something to do with the materials they were using, this is why they have been slow to take over here.
The air werks range are pretty good though.
Holset turbos are very good aswell.

Mine will be running the S300SX, it's a true twin scroll turbo, not adapted to run twin scroll like the Garretts. Will be interesting to see how it performs, has EFR technology built into the latest 300's

GTX3076 - 64lb/min turbo EFR 7670 - 64lb/min turbo
Judging by Marks recent test though, I'd pick the EFR over a GTX

After Mark saw that graph & how soon it spooled he rang me & convinced me its what mine needs. Will be using the biggest they do think Mark said its used in Nascar racers or some such race series. Anyone want a GTX4202 .

Nice to hear that the initial reliability problems have been solved by the sounds of it then Mark.
They certainly seem to perform well.
That graph is incredible if the only difference was the turbo.
Would be nice to see a GTX3071 on the same engine too though as thats a more relevent comparison really than the now out of date by comparison GT3076.

Not the same engine but the green line is a GTX3071 on single scroll the blue line is a twin scroll GT3076 and red line is the BW S200SX,
And if you overlay the EFR on the same engine.
