How can i turn it down on my laptop

Usually you press Fn and then one of the F* keys...

Kind of like pressing SHIFT + r to get a capital R.

There will be a screen brighter and screen dimmer button. Just make sure you press Fn too.

Depends what lappy you have? it will most likely have a coloured button, for example blue, and then there will be other keys with corresponding colours, so if theres a blue button you'd press this and then find another button with a blue symbol which could be - or + so in your case you'd press the button and then the button with the blue - symbol.

So look for any coloured buttons on your keyboard ?

Yeah think it is a F key or something, the misses has a laptop which i use sometimes but as ive never had to mess about with those settings im not 100% sure

No coloured keys

Its a compaq laptop

Ive got an old compaq laptop here, its very very old but as rick says its got a key at the bottom left with fn on it in blue, then top right theres screen brightness symbols in blue, so you'd press the fn button and the brightness symbol with the arrow pointing down.

If you have a newer one it might be different, hence you not seeing the coloured buttons
