South East area / Street Racing
Monday, a couple of my mates recieved a letter from the Police about street racing at LAKESIDE.
I'm sure some members on here go up there regularly as it's a common meeting place for us car fanatics. !
This is what it said in the letter.
"Your vehicle was seen on the evening of Saturday 27th November 2010 in the Lakeside area in a manner which leads me to believe it may have been involved in or associated with street racing on the A126 link road and surrounding area"
they're saying they haven't seen me doing anything but it's a warning to say my registration is noted for any future visits should they catch me doing anything...

Go up a13 towards a406 then take the beckton/gallions reach exit where showcase cinema is on te left, then bear left towards kfc/mac'd. Go past them to another set of lights and on ya left is gallions reach retail park. Str8 past that to the roundabout and take ya 4th exit A1020 royal dock road!
It's about 20 minutes away from Lakeside, always bit of drifting and some nice cars about. Also 24HR mcd's and KFC :P

FFS, so you obviously havent learnt after that young lad, Joe lost his life to these illegal and dangerous races.
Sorry guys but I have better things to do on a Saturday night than risk my and other peoples lives. As Chip said trackdays are where these sort of things should happen not the public road!!!!

Yes, have put my foot down, never skipped as a red light though. Having been trained to drive whilst in the military as a VIP driver taught me how you can be quick but remain legal as well.
As Chip said there is huge diffence between putting your foot down once in a while and actually going out in the car with the intention of breaking the law. Sorry but street racing is breaking the law and going out to intentionally do it is purely idiotic.

Birmingham used to be great on a sat night. even before i could drive i used to walk down with my mate and watch the cossies race. there was some nice kit, but eventually it got real shady and there were pricks racing stolen bangers and burning them once they blew up
I used to happen on Landor St and is next to a mahoosive container yard and there was fook all pedestrian traffic, and watery lane is a dual carriageway with a set of lights at one end, and a roundabout at the other.
But the police stopped it all, theres speedbumps on landor st, and 2 speed cameras on watery lane now!
