Default Playing Ipod througn standrad Ford stereo

Chaps

My mum wants to be able to play her Ipod through the stereo in her '56' plate Focus. It has the standard Ford stereo in it (6000 IIRC ?) so it'll need an adaptor of some kind to allow her to use it. I know 'zero' about audio so have no idea what to look for or where to even start. Looking for the simplest and cheapest way to do it.

Anyone help ?

If it's a cassette deck then one of these is probably the cheapest way - if not the best...

Hmmm... My wife wanted to do the same and the cheapest way was to buy a cheap iPod-playable headunit. Got a JVC one for about Ł70.

Will have a look mate, cheers.

Dan - not messing about changing stereo's mate, it either uses the standard one or she won't bother.

I use that exact one here in Congo and it's brilliant.

I'm going to buy another for home too.

Am FM modulator? Sound qualitys not brilliant, only as good as the radio. You can get them for about 15 quid though

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CAR-MP3-PLAYER...item255f846764

That might work off the iPod usb lead?

Mine has, some of them also have a USB socket under the arm rest.

I bought a Harmon Kardon Drive and Play unit too, plugs into the aux socket in the glovebox and has a little screen which i've fitted into the ash tray, and it works the same as an ipod does so can easily flick through albums without having to hold your phone/wires permanently hanging out of the glove box.
