bumpers
i've got a bare fibreglass bumper 'shell' and a bumper to cut the mounts off but whats the best way to align them?
ive already lined the bumper with an extra internal layer of fibreglass for strength
my thoughts are to cut the mounts out and fit to the front panel
mark the exact centre of both bumper and panel and dry fit
if needed add extra to the mounts til it roughly meets the bumper
then cater the mounts and back of bumper with a strong mix fibreglass and push together
leave overnight, remove bumper and apply another heavy strong mix of fibreglass
refit and 'test' the strength, then build another skin to the back of the bumper/mounts and fill with foam for more strength/factory look
does this sound ok or is there another better way to do this?
