Default Best diagnostic tool for st170?

As above guys looking to see what the best diagnostic tool for the st170 as i got an eml light on.Mate of mine has a fairly decent snap on tool was going to get him to have a look.
Hopefully it will be an O2 sensor or something as the car drives fine

Something like the snap on stuff will be the best you will get

Cheers guys only had it a day and its buried under a shit tonne of snow so don't know when am gonna get it looked at.Bought it from tha father in law.Seemed to be an intermitent eml light and only comes on in damp or cold weather

I bought one off ebay when I was having bother with my old st170. It was less than Ł20 and worked perfectly. If all you want is to read and clear dtc codes, then i don't see much point paying any more!

I've got a mac tools one and it's amazing,picks up stored errors as well as codes so if someones tried erasing them before they still show up in the memory,which helped me find the fault on my focus,tps and coilpack.replaced both and never touched it again.

Cost me about Ł75 from the van but the best investment I made after my booster pack in the garage,essential on today's cars.

Obd2 slot is under the dash on them near the steering column.

I use bluefin remap handset on my focus when i had that as i remapped it then i got a zetec s and used it on that to read and clear that too
