Yep, I've seen diesel at that price today in Lincoln, in fact that's what I paid. That station near Downtown Grantham is Ł130.9 today, the thieving gits. Costs me a fortune each month.

Filled up at shell in sutton scotney today on the A34 at Ł1.22 litre. Got back onto the A34 then straight off onto the A303 westbound on the way home and within 2 minutes of being on there the other shell garage which i pass is charging Ł1.27!!!

how can 2 garages of the same company which are about 4 miles apart have such a huge price gap? does it all come down to which road they are stationed on?

Nothing would surprise me, those sheikhs have got to pay for their solid gold cars you know, it's a hard life.

you must be joking right? we talk the talk over here but not walk the walk as much as those surrender monkeys do. Look what happened last time the truckers/taxi's tried. They were moved on after 6 hours were they not? They do a better job of blocking the roads

Its not the sheiks that are making the fuel that expensive its the government and their taxes on it.

move onto an economic diesel if fuel is the worst thing in your life, i've done it now.
granted listening to the sound of a skeleton having a wank in a biscuit tin isn't exactly sporty, but it's a lot cheaper than petrol engines.

how much is everyone prepared to pay upto because everyone must have a limit.

what pisses me off we had that bad weather last week and all the big petrol stations run out of fuel then the little local garage knew he was the only one with fuel and raised it from 1.24.9 to 1.35.9

actually i think its still like it as the local garage cant get fuel until Thursday.

I think when it starts to reach the Ł2 a litre i will start to look at other transport lol

The last time it was near this price oil was $150 a barrel. Just imagine if it heads in that direction again. currently ~$90 a barrel.

Doubt it - a car is a necessity so there won't be many people who'll get rid of their car. As of 1st January I relocate with work back into the centre of London (which is bollocks and I'm not happy about) but that means I won't be using my car to get to work every day. That is a saving, but the travel pass I will then need costs more a month than I would spend in diesel driving so I'm actually worse off ! Alot of people would say it's still cheaper to drive than use public transport, and I think they're right.

Probably the best way to do it....either way whenever we fill up we get ass-raped so you might as well not know how much it actually hurts.
