Default New wheels,

I have a dilema, the wheels I want are no longer made, and haven't been for about 1 year, but have found some brand new ones of peugeot 4 stud fitment but ET25, I was told I want about ET30, so was thinking use the above with 8mm spacers/longer studs to suit, I'm on coilovers so have a bit of extra clearance at front anyway.
These are for my 2wd sapphy cos.
I really like the wheels, your thoughts on the above or if someone else has done the above would be most appreciated, thanks

You're doing your calculations wrong if you put an 8mm spacer on an ET25 wheel you will end up with ET17.The smaller the ET the further out the wheel sits.

as above tab. 8mm spacer takes the et the "wrong way" for your calculations.

i wouls imagine the et25 would be ok tho. if they are the wheel you want, then get them. if they dont look right or you are unhappy with them, then sell them

I keep getting the ET bit the wrong way round ha ha!!
The wheels are the wolfrace katana, to be sprayed in gloss black, found HRS337 is almost identical, have since found out wolfy are redoing these, was talking to the guy with the order sheet who's just ordered some from the factory, should be jan/feb so may just have to wait a bit, will be in et40.

Yeah, gotta say, not my bag at all, think they look a bit cheap, and not really the right style to suit the shape of the car.

So long as you're happy though!

I like them, was very lucky finding a set, as rang around for 4 hours today tracking a set down.
They do as said go under different names DEZENT PANIK, BSA, Wolfrace katana, plus 2 others, I love them didn't want compy as done to death, now the bloody tyres I want are out of stock, got 2 but need 2 more, typical, Hankook Ventus Evo V12 K110 btw, in 235/40x17.

Dont like them wheels at all also on et 38 id run atleast a 5mm spacer or will look even worse and with coilovers and 235 tyres will rub the inside of the arch..
The 235.40s wouldnt go on et25 wheels either with out mods..
The ideal et on a saph in a 17 with 235s would be anything between et 30-33 maybe as low as et 28 max without mods..

Arches are being modded, if necessary will have the wheels back faced as it's free, will have to see how it goes, have used 235 on 7 j before without problems, and know a few who do also.

Your still confused mate!!at et 38 they will still be to close to the inside especially with 235s,either the inner arch or the coil springs on your shocks will be very close..imo you will need a 5mm spacer to fit nice..
You can get 235s in the rear of a saph but the ofset is mainly what determines this..

cheers danny

To be fair they don't look too bad on the Focus.

Can't help thinking that they'll make a Saph Cossie look like a rep though!

Funny you say that because every time I see a performance car with cheap after Market wheels I think replica too. There's a guy down the road from me who bought an e36 m3, all STD, looked nice. He then proceeded to put shitty 18" blingy wheels on it plus hideous 'more modern' lights all round and it now just looks like a 318i with an M3 badge.

Mind you I even hate CSL replicas on e46 M3's. Not sure what it is about m3's in particular for me but anything other than STD just makes them look like a replica.

It's a bonus if it looks like a rep, thieves will go after "real" ones then, I like them and that is the only thing that matters to me, I'm not being a sheep and getting a particular wheel just because everyone else has got them.
I'm defo doing the skyline type rear lights this year, ie 2 round lights each side instead of the std ambers, and have bought some marker lights to go on the bumpers, but that's more due to living on a bad bend.
I think the focus looks really nice with them on, maybe it's my age(45)!!

it will go well with his neon interior lights, pink brake calipers and cut down numberplates. You would never thought it was a cossie

You shoudnt have any snags finding them in your fitment Tabs, along with the wolfrace triad they're probably one of the most popular aftermarket wheel atm.
Try wheelbase in manchester, they'll probably have them with next day delivery too

I despair.... why are my favourite cars so often fitted with such utterly shit wheels?!

They're hideous! If you can't do 'different' well just stick to Comps and OE wheels please
