Default Performance Ford Jan 2011

Anybody read the current Performance Ford issue? I bet...

Noticed the "Ford Facts" of the black S2 ?

I don't know were they get such infos...

The Escort RS Turbo was never sold with EFI injection, I bet it was sold before 88 also in the UK, the EFI turbocharged engine (FRST) had a T2 charger AND no CVH engine ever had an alloy cylinder block.

Quite embarrassing for "The best Ford tuning magazine in the World", isn't it?

Yup, sorry guys, we cocked up. Well, not just we - I cocked up. I hold my hands up as the writer of that piece; it was down to me and the blame lays at my door. Where the XR3i and FRST were EFI, I had always assumed the 90-spec was EFI too. The production dates and engine info came from a source which was clearly less than reliable. The moral of the story here: never assume - it makes an ass out of u and me. Well, just me, in this case.

All I can say is 'sorry'; I'm gutted that I got it wrong, but I'm only human and I can't be right all the time. I'll triple check my facts from now on, and I hope those who enjoy 'The Works' will continue to do so in future.

All the best

I'm glad you admitted your mistake and you sent me a reply after just a few hours. Shows me you take your work serious and the mistake happened not because of lack of interest.
