Default Will making the distance between the Turbo and throttle cause more lag?

I'm looking to fit a front mount intercooler onto my impreza and was thinking about the above.

As standard the boost circuit is really really small, with a front mount fitted i'm looking at increasing that distance by a good 1.5m.
Will i get a hell of a lot more lag?

you shouldent get a hell of a lot more but obviously it will make a difference..

theres bigger factors to think about to be honest, make sure its a quality rad with flowing end tanks and a good quality core, use runs of metal pipeing for as much of the intercooler circuit as posible and you'll be fine

ive seen honda civics and bmw m5s with turbos where the backbox should be, that much of an increase in length of pipe does have an effect on turbo respose obviously. but for just doing what your on about, it shouldnt make that much of a difference.
