How does the boost gauge on a mk1 Focus RS work?

Default How does the boost gauge on a mk1 Focus RS work?

The boost gauge in the dash clocks.

Is it controlled by the ecu or something else or via a vacume pipe like the old school turbo management?

Sensor -> PCM -> SCP bus -> clocks.

You can drive it from 3rd party sources but ultimately you're going to have to get your sensor values onto the bus somehow.

Hacking about in the backend to drive the gauge a different way isn't particularly practical.

Would a pectel T2 ecu support the boost gauge?

Don't have full data for a T2 but I'm pretty sure not, does it do SCP?

Do you have any part of the clocks working at the moment?
