I've come to the conclusion after today it was some one who knows us!!!!

Why? after taking the efort to depart me and Sam of all of our tools etc they kindly also tuck the time in removing the front jacking point covers from my track car!

You may think thats a bit of a jump for me to go to but I don't, some one who owns a mk6 RS/GTi? has robbed me.

All they can hope is I never find out who it is as I promise I'll fuckin hurt um.

Gutted all over again now I have realised this, fuming!!!!

Just a thought,but do you think they were jacking it to steal the alloys perhaps?I know folk might say that they'd just use the trolley jack you mentioned but if they saw the car first then thought about stealing the alloys they may have thought that the only jack would be a standard one.

I know what ya saying about the covers etc but theyve taken them mate, not just removed um and tbh theyre was nine 18" OZ five spoke mags stacked by the door they could of taken easier than removing for alloys from my car.

Fair point on the alloys,start thinking closer to home then IMO.Try your free ads,I found someone who nicked my mates car before through this and needless to say we got the parts back.

In the guys defence he'd bought them genuinely with a recipt to convert his own 1.3 to rst spec but it had been stolen,probably by the cunts who he bought the parts off.he was proper gutted as this was 1997 and 1.3 bonus' were about Ł2500 then.

He hasn't insured it either as it was only being kept on the drive until he saved up,bummer!!

You've got to be very careful mate what you put up on the 'net and bear in mind, anyone can see it.
Don't put your personal details on a plate, personally location identifying features in photo's etc.
As you say, it can turn you paranoid, but it could make the difference. Even to a point you gotta be careful who you tell what, it could orignate from some scrote overhearing you chatting, or someone you know telling someone they know etc it only takes the wrong type of person to find out.
BY NO MEANS am i / would i suggest or imply, that anybody using this or any other car forum is anything other than a decent, genuine enthusiast, please no one take this the wrong way, you just gotta be careful!

This is shit to read, Kev. I constantly worry about my car and equipment up in our barn and thats very secure. CCTV, Alarm and all the tools, welder etc are locked in a shipping container inside, but I still worry.

Don't give up on it bud,the cunts have won then.it's frustrating I know but shit happens,there's a guy over on retrorides that had 20 mk1 Granadas stolen a few years back,that's not a misprint either!!!he's just had another 3 stolen one of which he believes is the earliest mk1 Granada on record,ouch!!!

Years ago my mate knew 2 brothers who were thieving scum and he used to regularly buy bits off them to sell on thinking they were his "mates".

He went up their house one day and I was in tow.I offered to stay in the car but his mate said to come in.reluctantantly I did as my mate said it was ok.we were in there about an hour and came out to find his radio and speakers stolen.he went back in and the boys were on the phone screaming at people,tbh I thought even though he was my mate it was karma and it served him right.

Anyway,a few weeks later 3 of us got done over for our kenwood 7x10's,the speaker of the time all on the same night,I was gutted,I'd saved for months to get them and the amp on the shelf was taken too,cunts!!!

Years later I was out and about in the car and got talking to some boys who knew these two brothers.they started relaying the story of how they'd robbed the speakers out of my mates Renault when we were in his bedroom.it jogged my memory that one of the brothers had left the bedroom for 10 minutes when his mother had called him.turned out this was a common trick of theirs and they'd put the stuff under the stairs until the people left.

The people they were screaming at down the phone would be alerted that they had stuff to sell and call up,bit like a code really.Apparently they even went to the lengths of going with the people in the car to "look" for the boys who stole them,cunts!!

Still,karma played it's part and one of them,the "brains" of the outfit is at HMP doing 17 years for armed robbery!!!!oh dear!!!

I asked why and he replied to move my stuff next door as mine is being demolished to then build an all new secure steel unit.
