M90/A90 travel info needed
Got a job interview in Aberdeen tomorrow and am travelling from Dunfermline so just wondering if anyone peeps up north can advise what the main road is like getting there. If its too dodgy then gonna try and postpone as I don't wanna risk my car or get stuck.

Hi mate, this morning the road was closed at Stonehaven(both directions) and at Perth on the way home between Friarton bridge and Bridge Of Earn, and the weather is meant to get worse tonight,so maybe worth calling off or leaving just now

Cheers guys don't think I will risk it then. Have spent the afternoon digging our residents parking out of nearly a foot of snow but its started again and looks like it was a waste of effort already.

As said if you want the job you will make it up but the roads are an absolute nightmare up here just now. I haven even saw any ploughs out either. Fuckin council cut backs. It will all depend on what your driving aswell

I personally wouldn't risk it. I can't see your potential employer having a problem with it either. We all got sent an e-mail telling us to go home early from the office today if need be. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the person interviewing you couldn't even make it into work from where they live locally. My office was practically empty today because 70% of people couldn't make it in. Some of them being people who live no more than 15 miles from the city centre.
It took my sister 8.5 hours to get from Aberdeen to Glasgow yesterday (its usually a 3.5 hour journey). A90 shut around Stonehaven, A9 shut at Perth too. One of the guys from Teeside made it up the coast road by Montrose, Stonehaven etc, but that included an overnighter in a hotel (whole journey took him 16 hours!).
Might be worth checking whether the trains are back on - I think they are now.

I'm in North East Fife, about 5 miles from Dundee... we've had a good few inches of fresh snow today, on top of slush which is freezing quickly, even on the main roads.
I'd also look at trains, try to get the latest interview time as possible and the very earliest train you can... that way you're giving yourself a fighting chance and worse case, you get stuck up there, have to waste a few hours on the smash, looking at roger moores in Bugsy Browns before you can get a train home.
Cheers,
Grant
