Fuck that. Been there done that. I've done engine swaps basic maintenance and welding out in the snow and it's just a nightmare. Took old for that now and think if it came too that sort of shit I would just hire a car and kill it till the snow fucked off.
Good luck tho. Somehow I don't think you will get anything done anytime soon

I used to work on cars on the drive all the time and it didn't bother me, I have garage now so its better.
Once you get started outside you soon warm up till it gets dark then you have to work with a torch, which is a pain in the arse!

last year i did the st170 front hubs and brakes upgrade to my mk1 2l focus in the snow on my gravel drive. unfortunately its the only space i have to work on so i have to use some sheets of plywood under the jack and axle stands...frigin nightmare.
soon warm up though, even had to take a couple of layers off i was getting so hot and i was amazed at how warm your hands stay in latex gloves!!

been workin on my series 2 for a few hours these last couple days. Its in a garage but u only have half metre each side. Im glad i dont have to work on drive way on it though as we live on main road through the estate and im always paranoid about people seeing it being worked on. Duno why coz they'll see it when its done and im using it! Plus prefer doing engine bay work where i can be working on it with the door shut as otherwise i just keep getting stopped by people i know stopping by to chat if they see me out there.

snow is a foot or more deep here, going out with two big buckets full of hot water to clear a space at front bumper as it already jacked up then getting bottom end and gearbox out to do some work, least after that I have the nice heated hut to work on engine etc then back to lying in snow to get it all back in
