Default just how much do escos wheels compromise fiesta turbos ride?

Everyone seems to say they ruin the ride massively!, just wondering what is peoples experiences with them?, in what way do they ruin the driveability?, have people actually had them fitted on their car to experience the ride? or just heard wifes tales? i am only gunna have the car as a summer/ show car so not to worried, just dont want to fit them if they are gunna kill me lol

As far as I know you need to run coilovers to fit them - I'd imagine that hardens the ride a fair bit. Other than that I can't really help you.

so true

well stretched tyres to get them to fit will stiffen it up, and coilovers if they have hard springs, but if you keep it at its current ride height theres no reason you couldnt ruin the same hardness spring surely?

I remember putting 17" oz Polaris on my frst in 1999 and I'm sure I had to trim the rear strut mount a bit to allow the wheel to move?think they were 7.5x17 iirc although I'm sure the height of them was the issue rather than the width of the wheel as of course escos are 8x16.

Come on its an old fiesta its no gonna ride that good anyway, even if they did i would trade off the ride for the look any time, they look so mint on them. You could even buy a set of cheap alloys to moap about in, then put the cossie ones on for shows and cruises ect.

pick one up and you,ll know why. very heavy wheels and a lot of rotating mass on a fiesta is never gonna go well

Stretched tyres ruin the look of a class wheels IMO.

A size down to fit a Saph is ok, but 195's on a wheel that should wear 225's........
........NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fitted a set to a mates XR2i, the 8J width and ET25 offset mean they protrude too far, catch the arches and made the car drive generally poorly. The were removed very soon after and replaced with Mondeo 16's.

In short yes they look fantastic but do you want to look at your car or actually drive it? Personally I prefer function over form.

I'd put 3dr cossie wheels or sharktooth cossie wheels in 15" - looks good and drives excellent

I had them on my 3 door and tbh it drove really crap ,hit the arches and didnt handle well atall , so they must be totally shit on a fiesta and with no power steering it would be like steering a tank !!!
