Default Ford Barra 240T engine! (740 lb·ft inside)
Was reading the latest Performance ford and there is a ute with said engine, Completely forgot about this power plant.. but i remember a few years back i really fancied getting a falcon xr6

anyone had a play with one? had a quick look about and it looks like 1000+ hp and shed loads of torque from really low down to right through to top of the rev range is quite easily achieved (740 lb·ft) of torque at only 3500RPM.

Well at over a litre more than a RB26 makes you wonder why we dont try and use it a bit more,

id love endless amounts of cash' id get one in a saph/ 3dr no bother lol

there a bloody huge lump though doug. doubt one would fit under a sapph bonnet.
we service a few hearse limo's with the same 4.0 lump in(without tubo obviously) and they are a really tall engine.

Maybe the mags have just picked up on it now lol
