Default transit connect 1.8tdi quick help

hi all i have bought a connect a few month back and the oilsum has a leak and i want to buy a new part instead of getting it wealded i have took to the garage to be done and the quoted me 250 quid fitted but i have had a quick look on the net and ebay and the part is anywhere from 50quid to 110 quid the garage is trying me to charge me 170 plus vat for the part so its nigh on 200 quid for th3 part and 35 quid labour to fit it is this price around right or are they having my life as i have been on the phone to a friend whos a machanic and he said you could eigher weld it or get a part fitted for less that that a quick answer to this would be great as need it fixing by mondaysmiithy1

Do you mean sump. There a piece of piss to do. You could do it yourself fella. The exhaust is at the back of the engine so you dont have to worry about moving that out of the way. Just make sure the surface that the sump meets is clear of oil sealer.
