My friend is trying to trace her dad, she doesnt know anything about him except for his name and a possible former address of his parents. Can anybody suggest any places she could look, asking family is out of the question so it would have to be ways of tracing people through the net etc.

Any help is really appreciated.

 

there used to be a site, www.192.com or co.uk, like the phone book but bigger put in a name and if brings the number up!

if it doesnt work now just look for another, there will be some way of doing it

Ok thanks I will let her know 2moro. To be honest shes a bit messed up over it and after 20 odd years of not knowing whether to try and find him or not shes decided to at least try and find out a bit about him so she can contact him if she wants to.

 

No worries! It must be a big step for her... Can't even guarantee I can do anything, but I've a few tricks that usually work if the information is accurate enough.
