Reason i ask is my mate in the army has been posted to germany.Took his mr2 turbo over and put it through it german MOT it failed on various things including cat as he took it off years ago because it doesn't need on as its a k plate.He brought it back to uk and has now been told that if he wants to buy a tax free car in germany he has to scrap his mr2 When there is absoultly nothing wrong with it as it passed it british MOT 3 months ago.

Stay in shotts.I think he is stupid personally as there is nothing wrong with the car but he has been told he needs a scrap certificate.Only got txts from him last night so not up to full speed.He has alot of trick parts on it.

break it for spares then scrap shell over any weigh bridge

take all the good parts off it to sell, then get it to the scrappy.

my local scrapyard is quite good to come and collect the cars with a low loader saving people the hassle of getting them to there yard

So why don't you offer him some cash for it if he's going to scrap it anyway.... more fool him... can't he just store that car...buy a cheap shitter to scrap that then he's got the recipt he needs..

Why doesnt he send the V5 off and register it scrapped (he cut the shell up himself..and sold the parts?) and sell it with no I.d. As a track car
