living with immature slobs....
Still having problems with the stupid housemates.
How the fuck do some so called adults survive more than a year or so without killing themselves through stupidity???
Already had problems with fucking lazyness and the culprits were specifically explained to them what was wrong. Now either they are fucking thick or just have no respect/dont care but continue to ignore peoples complaints.
One is a student, rich bird who clearly has had everything done for her in the past. like it or not she needs to learn to stand on her own feet and learn to do her fair share. She isnt at rich mummy and daddys now with a cleaner to sort the mess out...... Doesnt help that her boyfriend is a smarmy spoilt rich kid too!! And its not the other 5 of us being picky.
Things she does include
regularly leaving the kitchen a mess,
using other peoples crockery and plates and not washing them up for days and/or keeping it in her room for days,
filling the small kitchen bin with takeaway rubbish rather than putting it in the wheelie bin 6 foot away...,
using the oven but no oven tray or grill pan - cooking direct on the oven grid leaving fat all over bottom of oven and on the shelfs, often fish as well hence stinking the house out. and no, she doesnt clean the oven out afterwards.
stealing the kitchen gas cooker lighter thingy to light cigarettes as shes too skinflint/disorganised to keep her own lighter.
using communal pans and stuff and leaving it dirty on the side for days then reusing it - how shes not got ill i dont know
washing up under running water using a squirt of washing up liquid per item - mind its not her liiquid but other peoples!!!
Leaving the freezer door open on average once a week
leaving gas burners on to fill the house with gas
leaving the back door unlocked several times a week despite being told several times about the security issues of doing it.
refusing to contribute to joint stuff like loo roll and in one day her skanking boyfriend nicked 5 rolls of other peoples loo roll to blow his nose when he could have bought tissues!
Having her boyfriend stay overnight more than the 3 times a week the landlord allows without paying the extra. (he can live in her room as a couple for an extra £80 a month but refuses to pay and stays anyway)
often lies about petty things to get away with it yet gets caught out as other house members saw what she did - does she think we are stupid and dont chat to each other??? pointless lying!
And thats just the shit that comes to mind.
The other idiot is a gaming freak. Hes done a runner from his previous place moving out in the early hours of the morning to avoid getting caught. Is on benefits as his main income and yet can afford a 50" plasma in his room and his own top of the range broadband and media package which hes admitted costs £55 a month, and a top of the range contract phone. Now considering we know his rent and bills and what he gets in benefits hes clearly getting a bit of cash on the side..... Now thats a little strange and a bit dodgy with the benefits and cash on the side but its not my main beef. Our beef... in fact every one in the house is annoyed by him includes:
takeaways almost every night creating excessive rubbish compared to other housemates - a problem when we get the same wheelie bin as everyone else except ours has to make do with 8 people!
Having at least 2 often 3/4 friends round EVERY night including loud music, door slamming at 3am, strangers wondering round the house, his mates throwing beer bottles over the wall into neighbours driveway rather than in bin etc etc etc
creating so much beer bottle and can rubbish that we fill our recyling bin in less than a week - cue problems with 2 weekly collection!
doesnt crush cans or plastic bottles hence wastes space in bin,
regularly nicks other peoples bin bags and only half fills them with rubbish - wasteful
smokes in the house at night thinking we wont notice the smell - despite this being a no smoking house!

Now im a reasonable person when i want to be, as are the other housemates, so weve tried all the usual sensible advising them, telling them, reminding them etc etc and given them plenty of chances to sort thier shit out. Its even risen to having arguements and telling them off like children. They dont like it but if they act like kids then they will be treated like kids....
Weve even put up sarcastic signs around the kitchen to remind them incase its a lack of intelligence or poor memory.
examples include:
sarcastic, yes, but gets the point across.
The latest saga involves having to shout at them and finger wave while they look at the floor like naughty children and come up with pathetic excuses.
So now they are whinging to their parents rather than change their behaviour - how fucking pathetic.
Im thinking give them an ultimatum of buck up in a month or boot the shits out.
now are we all being unreasonable and expecting "too much" of modern young people to expect them to have basic social skills and basic skills in getting on with people?? is it too much to expect some basic fucking common sense??? remember 2 of them are supposedly reasonably intelligent and well educated one studying law and the other politics and law at a reasonably good uni - so clearly reasonably academically intelligent yet cant muster the skills of living with others??? and they clearly are cowards as they dont have the balls to even talk to anyone else in the house about it, even when we were being soft and just advising theyd just be quiet and say nothing. I hate people whove no balls like that. lacking moral fibre/weak character is what they would be called in times of old.
or is this the standard of the "Youth of today"??? fucking pathetic if thats the case.

no i expect them to behave with consideration for their other housemates so we all get along.
living like slobs, being messy, unhygienic, being selfish, lying, using other peoples stuff etc etc etc doesnt fit in with decent behaviour and consideration for others. so its a problem with them not me.

sounds like a shit situation,they have had their arses wiped obviously and have no respect so i doubt they will change their ignorant ways as they dont know any better.im sure you and the decent housemates have spoke about what options you have and short of locking all your stuff up or getting them kicked out there wont be much you can do,maybe grass up the grebo dole mole,tell the landlord about the wench's lad staying most nights to see if she will take action.or move out sadly.

Normally i'd be saying i expect them on the missing persons list by Sunday.
But i know the feeling mate. When i moved South i lived with strangers in a houseshare. All very well spoken, typical Bath types. Loved Rugby and done "gap years in Africa" and they were absolute scruffy cunts!! Appauling!
Drove me mental, i could tolerate a bit but not being able to get into the sink as it was piled up with crusty shit continually did my nut in.
I was glad when i moved.

Not easy granted but as said above they are students and naturally quite lazy,however it does go on in all walks of life.i used to work in a factory 24/7 so on our last night shifts we would always cook dinner,various things,pies,lasange,roast dinners,curries,that sort of stuff.
Also we did breakfasts on the weekends as there was no canteen service and you were here for 12 hrs.there was one particular bloke who NEVER cooked or washed up,he simply refused to do it.we told him a few times and he just said I don't do it at home,so I won't do it here!!!
Many a time id ask the boys to make sure that the washing up was done and then at 5.45 in the morning 15mins from the end of the shift the whole kitchen area was fucking stinking,used to piss me right off,really in the end it was only me and one other bloke who bothered to cook and clean up,so we used to charge a bit extra for our hassle.
I have to admit I'm not the tidiest person at home but we do try to maintain a bit of order.
Sadly warren,I think because of your military background your used to high standards and hence you'll find it very difficult to get others to keep up with your standards.
Couldn't you not move in with a load of ex squaddies or even older students who would appease you better?
