What HP could a 1.6 pinto engine handle before problems start arising??

they're not the most tunable engine,
but i've heard of 1 thats got 100bhp on a single carb,
i thought that was mega,
but i know its had a smal fortune spent on it,
defo easier and cheaper to swap to a 2 litre pinto

a no a guy that works at the local tuning garage has a 1.6 pinto in a 3-door sierra, its got a cossie head on it and the bottom end has been lightend and balanced nd its runnin r1 carbs and its got 260bhp and its lasted about 3 years now

not realy a pinto anymore, but damn inpressive for a 1.6 n/a engine

defo is impressive, not many ppl expect it to be as good as it is but because of the short stroke of the 16 it makes it rev like fook

yeah sounds fun,
and having a yb head on it, everybody will just assume its a 2 litre,
i'd imagine it'll surprise a good few folks

yeah mate as the head just bolted straight on to the 16 block nd at a quick look it looks just like a 2 litre runnin bike carbs, sounds awsome to nd really duz go well for a lil 1.6
