the best part, all of this 'him and fergie have fallen out' and 'its since all the stories about him shagging about' came out, couldnt be further from the truth. in fergies own words, 'i dont have a problem with the lad, the door is open for him to stay', and 'david (gill) phoned me on august 14th, and said he wouldnt sign the new contract'
Sooooooooo, that is no problem with fergie, AND, he refused to sign a new contract BEFORE, the story of him shagging about even came out.
So what does that leave ?, maybe, what i was saying, they havnt invested the ronaldo money, and used it to pay debt, they cant compete with man city financially, and dont have a squad as good as chelsea.

the shagging took place at the world cup, everyone knew about it but the press were told to hold the story. all the talk is of him going to city.he wants the ££ and not bothered if it's from their rivals.

Thank christ he's off, Shrek's been useless for a good long while now....just glad everyone else realises now. No more glorifying him as a god send for Man U and the England squad
#43
Yeah I can't see it either. Likes being around Liverpool, has his family and kids and also England tattoos on him and can't see him learning Spanish/Italian either lol. But then it surprises me he wants to leave at all, unless he's just pressuring United for ££.
Its been mentioned on the United forums that some of those older players on big wages will need to leave and free up wages budget for new big players. Makes sense in theory.

Amazing isn't it, we go through that, losing 8 players + staff as well as some of the huge names retiring or being sold in our history and yet one player going a summer (Ronaldo/Rooney) always brings out the same "United are doomed" comments.
Neville doesn't get a look in. Giggs is used sparingly and Scholes also gets rested despite having more action/importance this season at times. Only Edwin of the old lot is guaranteed starter. As for Rio, the future back up is already lined up in Evans and Smalling, not too mention Vidic. Think we'll be alright IMO.

scholes and giggs are the only constant players that make anything happen for man u atm though, look at scholes lately its all been about him, what keeper can be brought in to replace the likes of edwin, evans and smalling are not even in the same league as the defence you have had in the last 10 years IMO

Let Fiddy go on about the Glaziers and link everything to them, either way Liverpool won't be winning that title any time soon. He's feeling smug because of this takeover, just like before, but one day the penny will drop that Liverpool didn't have Gillet and Hicks in charge circa 1990 > 2007. No title then either.
Everything has a cycle, we were the best team in england through the 70's and 80's, you in the 90's til recently, now, its someone elses turn, chelsea, and city probably.
the main beef between 'us' and 'you', isnt the 40 miles of the east lancs road between us, everton are across stanley park opposite us, city are up the road from you, so its not location, its about who is the most successfull team in english football history, the score, 18 each, regardless of when they were won, its the NUMBER that counts. we dont look like winning another one anytime soon, and the way things are going for you, its going to be very hard for you to keep competing at the top.
How much are you cursing west ham now, in 1995, we did you a favour aswel, we did our part, and beat blackburn, just think, you could have had 19 now, if only.........

Yep agree, replacing Edwin will be tricky as that was a position we found hard dealing with before. Bartez, Bosnich, Howard, Carroll etc. Disagree about Scholes and Giggs being the only players making anything happen. Valencia and Rooney were an awesome combo in those 34 goals last season and Nani is very dangerous on his day, I'd say he's been our best player this season attacking wise.
Of course they aren't as good as a regularly playing Vidic and Rio who set the records but the point is they are in place and only Rio is at that stage, not BOTH centre backs. Evans is off form right now but he's racking up some big game experience whilst Smalling has some good attributes and is only 20. Rio was quite a bit older than that when he joined United.

The main point, how are you going to win the title, or keep challenging for it, with the debt you have, and when your best two players, once rooney leaves, are defenders. you know, and i do, the rooney money, will not all be available to replace him, and tbh, he is that good, you cant replace him anyway.

Yet more ifs, buts and maybes. Seriously mate you waste and awful lot of time talking about things that aren't happening. Talk about it when we go without the title for a while like yourselves, or find ourselves on channel Five. What is the point?
thats the difference right there about nani " on his day " giggs and scholes would be there everygame performing hes just not like that, as for valencia whos he going to provide/ link up with now? rooney is no bigger loss then beckham was etc but i just dont see other players there or comming in who can take over and that coupled with the golden era players just about done is dull days imo
To be fair you'll admit you hate United and everything about them so I don't exactly expect you to agree, especially when its me saying it. As it stands we did alright last few seasons and this season are up there with 30+ games to go.
Your team however...............

Nani is one of the top wingers in the league IMO right now, if you don't agree then that's upto you mate. We'll have to agree to disagree.

I dont hate any club football doesn't mean enough to me, if you said did you hate team USA in the ryder cup the god yea, as for "my team" as said again it really doesn't make much difference to me mate i stopped going to the games full time about 10 years ago but where on a good run atm

Transitional period at united, and we can go one or two ways, if the money from Rooney is invested in a new striker, or we do a trade deal with real (benzema?) then i think we will be ok, if the money is skimmed off by the glazers to pay their debt i think it will be a difficult season or two until youngsters get some big game experience.
Sooner we get rid of carrick, gibson, o'shea, hargreaves, brown, neville and anderson the better.
Hugo Lloris or Manuel Neur in to replace VDS, Defour and De Rossi in to give the midfield the drive and strength it needs and one of hulk/Benzema/Dzeko up front to replace rooney.

You want rid of Anderson? Hope he stays and cracks on after his injury myself. Can see he has the ability, just needs to consistency and for us to find the right way/position to use him IMO. Gibson its still early days but as it stands, mean shot power but not a lot else so far.
Rooney will be massive to replace no matter who we find. Hernandez is look handy but he's a totally different kind of forward player to him, not like for like at all.

We do have a consortium wanting to buy but glaziers wont sell, hopefully the way liverpool were taken over will open a new way of attacking control of the club for the "Red Knights"
Fucked if he goes........
Mark Hughes
Kanchelskis
Paul ince
Bruce
Pallister
Beckham
Van nistolroy
Ronny
Cantona
Blah blah blah.... hear it all the time lol
As Fiddy says though its the money for investment which is the scary thing and the slippy slope that is easy to fall down.....
We will be ok if the Glaziers agree to sell to the Red knights etc before the debt gets too big,but every day that passes, the harder it gets

i dont think UTD will anything this year; a cup run is there best chance of silverware IMO.
The biggest issue facing UTD is there financial standaing, ALOT of income revenue being swallowed up by HUGE interest payments - quite staggering really

no squiz, as the ebony says, and i quote, 'i just talk bollocks', being a bitter scouse cunt and all that. and rooney leaving will be because as rod said, 'he's a fat scouser with a dick for a brain', obviously im wrong, and so is wayne.
two years ago they were singing 'ronaldo, ronaldo ronaldo', he left, then last year it was 'rooney, rooney, rooney', what they gona sing now, 'there's only one michael owen' maybe ?
On the plus side though, at least they can use the rooney money, to pay there debts, like they did with the ronaldo money

Andersons shite, in the same mould as lucas, would be great playing in italy or somewhere like that but he just looks clueless at times.
Would have loved us to go for Gourcuff but hes at lyon now..

Ploy to avoid facing the wrath from the fans or been nailed by a teammate??
Sir Alex Ferguson and Wayne Rooney have disagreed over the striker's fitness this season.
But the wantaway Manchester United star's latest injury really is genuine - judging by these pictures from Carrington today.
Rooney was carried away on a stretcher from training after picking up an blow to his ankle ahead of the Champions League match with Bursapor on Wednesday.

So many potential reasons circulated the United boards about why he wants to leave all of a sudden but I think Fiddy's one about the Glazier regime can be written off. After all, he was prepared to stay "for life" in March, and Ronaldo and Tevez had already gone by then. Who really know's whats gone off between Ferguson and Rooney but it could be:
1) Wants to move abroad to escape the England failures/private life press attention.
2) His wife Colleen has given him and ultimatum of leaving United/Manchester to escape certain people, lifestyle of the hotels and casino's he goes to.
3) City have tapped him up at some point with a big wage offer.
4) Him and his agent are doing a Roy Keane/Rio, and trying to get the club to break the bank more than they want on wages.
Either way its very strange as even most non United fans saw him as someone who'd be there for life. Its hard to tell quite how long the cheating thing has been rumbling on behind the scenes also, probably long before the story broke. Of all those reasons, really don't see how Ronaldo being sold and a big signing not being brought in measures up, especially when he seems to love the club, training, players etc. Guess we'll find out before too long.

Rooney isn't the only player at Man U though, and I doubt that it'll send them into a spiral of decline.
Man U will do just fine without him.........

Blackpool for the title!

cant see him coming to us to be honest as we wont pay silly wages city are offering and most fans would not want him , he was crap in the world cup and so far this season has been very tame and I think the lure from abroad may be the winner anyway ,he has shown his loyalty to everton fans by walking away now to utd who have made him a massive name,so I would be very dissapointed if he came to stamford bridge

TBH i think he'l go abroad, going to City will be a little to close to home!!
Altho, if he did end up at Chelsea i wouldnt be against it!! Hardly any footballers these days are loyal, end of the day there out there to earn a living and will do anything to better there career!! Dont forget, the Drogs and Anelka arent getting any younger, a bit of decent young blood up front could do us the world of good!!

i think it may well be a good thing he's going we need a foward that scores not just run all over the pitch i think we may be lucky if we get 30 mill for him but id like to see darren bent and sneijder at ot but i do belive that we need a english foward tho

I have a question for you all, when he goes who are they going to replace him with? what is he worth 50-60m, by the time Everton take there cut around 30%, so if we say 20m, that will leave 40m, I dont think the Glazers will let fergie have the 40m to spend, i think that will going on paying a little bit of the debt. with regards to where he is going I think it will be Man C, neither Barca or Inter have 50-60m to pay out stright away, and i dont think they will let them pay it over a few months, so it really only leaves Man c or Chelsea that can just right a cheque for that sort of money

Wayne Rooney has revealed his reasons behind him wanting to leave Manchester United insisting it is not down to money but ambition.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed on Tuesday that Rooney wanted to leave the club, and admitted his disappointment and disbelief.
Ferguson insisted he did not know the reasons behind Rooney's decision to shun a new contract at Old Trafford and instead look for a move away.
But now Rooney - who has just 18-months left on his current deal, has released a statement outlining his decision to seek a move away from United.
Rooney has been quick to deny that any moves away from the club would be financially motivated, insisting that the club's lack of investment in their squad is the primary factor.
"I met with David Gill [United chief executive] last week and he did not give me any of the assurances I was seeking about the future squad," Rooney confirms.
"I then told him that I would not be signing a new contract."
Rooney also admitted he was shocked by Ferguson's comments on Tuesday, adding: "I was interested to hear what Sir Alex had to say yesterday and surprised by some of it.
"It is absolutely true, as he said, that my agent and I have had a number of meetings with the club about a new contract. During those meetings in August I asked for assurances about the continued ability of the club to attract the top players in the world.
"I have never had anything but complete respect for MUFC. How could I not have done given its fantastic history and especially the last six years in which I have been lucky to play a part?
"For me its all about winning trophies - as the club has always done under Sir Alex. Because of that I think the questions I was asking were justified."

Your best just telling lies and with a hint of 'arrogance'........ Talk on their level

He wont go to City unless its a very very hefty price tag, like £100m+, and I cant see Chelsea wanting to shell out the mega's either,
Plus Fergie wont want him being sold to a Prem rival, ref Gabriele Heinz when he wanted to go to Liverpool.
I can see Rooney being Italy bound in somekind of swap deal involving Etoo or Pato.
Or they could ship him out to Ajax, he would feel like he's in paradise there
