Default Focus RS common faults and tuning?

i may be going to look at a focus rs with 49k miles
what things to look for?
its totally standard, can they make 280bhp easy enough?

I really cant be hooped typing as i typed LOADS before. Even one the other day. Try a quick forum search mate.

49k is towards a few general problems cropping up.

280 bhp is reasonably easy,

have you got a link? i can't find anything, i've tried searching using your name and can only find your clutch problem.

Here's the link the other day.

Common faults

thermostat leak
front struts dying
breather hose bursting behind block to left
rotten coolant metal hose in wheel arch
rust at bottom of doors where skirt traps water


clutch is best part opf 1k to repair so nice if its done

chargecooler pump should be checked as per link. open cap with engine running and see if water comes back to tank.

i found mine started on the buttin EASILY and EVERY time.

280 bhp would probe need

tubular manifold
remap of sorts, dreamscience, bluefin etc
think that'd do it,

ACE cars and handle very well.
