Default M3 used at my mates sisters wedding PICS

Hi All

It was me mates sisters wedding over the weekend and the 635 m6 rep that was going to be used didn't make it in the end so had to use my m3 at a very short notice and didn't have any time to remove the hard top aswell. So got a few randon moody pics of her before leaving me house.....

A few of the sapp as well..

Also been thinking of getting some sapp bonnet vents put in the m3 bonnet, could anyone photo shop this for me if possible? not sure how it would look, (more looks than anything else) I know that it will require cutting up a sapp bonnet and grafting them to the aluminium bonnet, not sure if it will be worth all the messing around thu, thanks anyway

Hope you like

Saph vents in a M3 bonnet, hmmmmm

I wouldn't do it for 2 reasons, 1 - it will look gash, 2 - it will probably spend more time off the road than on the road after you do it !

Nice cars, not sure about the wheels on the 6er Cab though... and defo don't think that Saph vents would look right on the M3 either.

Cheers,
Grant

Cheers all for your honest opinion, wasn't really too sure myself with this one

Don't really want to mess too much with the m3, so will just leave it...

Hmmm.... time to clean it, put a bow on it, take pictures...

but not the 2 seconds to put tax in screen?

as for the bottle vents. Worst idea ever!

Tim Shaw has Saff vents in his supercharged E46 M3's bonnet IIRC. Looks pretty good actually, but if you really want vents, I'd just get an M3 GT bonnet.

More pics here, but none from a great angle for seeing the vents properly

How do you find the m3?

I really fancy one at the moment, I've had the e36 m3 models years ago but was never impressed with the performance. Are the e46's quite nippy? Do they feel it?

We took 2 M3's to Germany, one E36 Evo and one E46, there was nothing between them on the straights, round the circuit the E36 didn't feel as stable or controlled where as the E46 was planted, obviously the older one had done some miles where as the E46 was a low miler.

They are strange cars, make a LOT of power up top, or should say put on a lot of speed high in the rev range so if you don't use all the revs I found them to be a little dissapointing, they said the E46 would do 170mph and quite happily sit on a mates 400+hp Skylines bumper all the way to that so clearly not slow.

At todays prices you would struggle to find a better specced car for the money, just not everyones cup of tea

not slow... and they go well over 100mph.

but never feel OMG fast at all... and you have to rev them hard

True you have to rev them and over a 100 the ms go very well and so stable,
Its a very good all round package car.

I've had mine for 6 months now and I love it, sound good too when driven hard....

Im hoping to get one of these at some point next year, was going to get the e36 but driven a few and they are getting on a bit now, i like my cars to be sporty but able to drive normally when im pissed off or in a bad mood and the e36's were all too stiff and unforgiving.

The money i can get hold of responsibly for will get me an 06 one with the led rear lights, but two things concern me

smg vs manual - only driven a manual car in my whole life, and reliability issues with smg...

coupe vs cabriolet, cabby not very secure as roof can be ripped ? And I HATE HATE HATE the radio aerial on the back of the cab, spoils the whole car!
