Default Power steering problem

ive got an 84 capri2.8 in which the steering turns one way faster than other with a lot less force anyone any ideas what wrong. it the same both ways with belt disconnected

Have you counted how many turns it is to the left and right.

i would take the steering column off the rack, jack the car up and turn the wheels with your hands to see if you can feel it in the rack. If it feels ok you know there is a fault with the steering column.

A restriction in the pipes is the cause of this, most likely in the rack pipes.

thanks lads cant fell andiffence in rack side to side and it is centered 1.6 turns each way have replaced some of pipes already as they were kinked thought that was problam

Have you tried a different pas pump. I dont think its this but might be worth a try.
