Default ebay sold question

i had the mother in laws car for sale on ebay and it ended today.
it went for 670 to a guy 500 miles away with no feedback,no contact number,no email from him about collection so im thinking im going to get messed about.
the second highest bidder has good feedback and is prob closer.if i second chance offer it to him can the 1st guy leave me bad feedback or is that transaction closed as soon as i 2nd chance offer it?
what makes me suspicious is why would someone 500 miles away bid on an old astra?london must be full of better examples than the 1 im selling.

99% of times when you give the second chance offer they never take it , as it must be the thrill of bidding or something

Email him 1st and if you get no contact then second chance t'other guy but dont rely on it,I did the same with my big compressor and the second chancer never even contacted me back, fucking prick!!!

Tbh I've had good success with eBay lately but only this transactions pissed me off, would be the most expensive thing I've sold when I needed the money most as well!!!

i have emailed him,the other guy came and viewed the car this morning but i had told the mum in law not to sell it there and then as she would have gave it away.i told her to tell him to place a bid on it which he did so hopefully he comes back.i hate messers and since shes not any use with things like this and im away with work i cant be arsed getting mucked about with some timewaster!

Well,if he's viewed it and is interested then that maybe your best option,at least you know he's serious and as he's seen the car is unlikely to turn up picking holes like so many ebayers do.

Did the same thing with an old Transit, the guy had no feedback and lived in Bedfordshire I think. No contact for a few days but he turned up to Stoke-on-Trent was happy and off he went. All that way for a Transit, some people are mad.
On the other hand I had a guy turn up for a bike I sold on there and say it wasn't to his liking. That was after sending him 12 separate pictures after the auction ended,oh well kept his £100 dipper and he had a four hour drive back home
