Ticks all the boxes, 2 seater and a V6. Now I just need to find one with a flappy paddle gearbox and Sat Nav and I'm laughing!

The VX220 engine is much better than the older Elise engines too, the normally aspirated 2.2 is great fun.
And there's not many about now either. The Elise is a prettier car but the VX220 is definitely superior mechanically.

Agreed, 9 out of the 10 suggestions aren't even two seater cars with more than 6 cylinders Still some good suggestions. The 350Z definitely looks to be the way forward, some quite late ones for 10k.

ps The VX220 isn't really a Vauxhall, it's a Lotus with a good strong Vauxhall engine in it. The older Elises had the old Rover engine in which was basically pants, the newer ones went for a Toyota engine, but the Vauxhall engine in the VX220 is still better, really good power delivery.

If you don't fancy the VX220 how about an Audi TT. I couldn't believe how cheap you can pick up the old ones for now.

Definitely not a TT however, I like the new ones, but never really liked the old.

Yes, give one a go, I'm sure you'll love it. I think they're one of those cars you own for a bit, have a laugh with and then sell though, they're not something you can easily use every day. But they are most definitely fun, you really feel like you're in a sports car when you drive one.

Thats what I thought about the TT, even the beefed up version didn't look that special!

A friend of mine is about to put his lovely black 350Z (uk GT) up for sale, set of superb wheels on it, the alezan leather, loads of sensible mods, I think he would take about 10k for it, he lives in Chelmsford and has owned it for about 3 years i think.

Nice depends on how soon he puts it up however, I am waiting for some investments to reach the end of their tax period, if he does it later rather than sooner would definitely be interested black ones are quite hard to find and if I do see one up for sale they are usually without the extras!

To be honest he wouldnt be bothered when he puts it up for sale, he rarely uses it and commutes by train to London. Car is in great condition though and has been REALLY well looked after. Problem with Z's these days are that they are becoming affordable now to youngsters so a lot of badly looked after/ maintained examples out there.
Black is deffo the best colour though, i've had both black and a blue one and would definitely have another one if i didnt need the space in the car!
