Good result for us in the north west derby as we could have lost 3-1 if their player didn't bang that great chance over the bar. Good goal from Owen, Evans is having a shocker this season, need Rio back or give Smalling a try for a bit. Good game.

So much for Chelsea storming the league, first proper game they play they lose and its not even a big game for them. Point gained, into second, not too bad a start for us. Arsenal lol

Last time I checked Chelsea wasn't in Gtr Manchester, the north west or even in the north!!!! Take the money City spent away from the fixture and its means nothing to Chelsea other than past results.

Like Real Madrid when they were crazily made favourites for the champions league by many just because they spent Ł200m on players, City obviously get more attention but they aren't a title challenger yet. I'd say Chelsea's big games are Spurs and Arsenal, other than that non derby wise it would be United because of the chance to take points of title challengers. City just does not mean as much as it does to United or the Liverpool game, no way near. Do agree with your sentiments about City though (for the future) they will win something at some point you'd think.

Either way, they lost. 5 easy games against WBA, Wigan, Stoke, a West ham in ruins and Blackpool and people raved them up, then they went and lost in the Carling cup at home to Newcastle and then to Man City in the league. Funny how football can be isn't it.

Storming...........

but the money is there so it does mean something

5 easy games you say, BUT WBA beat arsenal, west ham beats spurs so there teams that are slipping up the bigger teams wouldn't you say? much like bolton, fulham and everton

So now you're saying West Brom are better than Arsenal/Chelsea and West Ham better than Spurs? In football, on the day anyone can beat anyone, shit happens but they were 5 kind fixtures no matter what you say, with two of them newly promoted.

Wigan beat Chelsea last season but they aren't better than them are they, hence why they lost 8-0 in the return game in May.
