Default 63mm or 76mm pipes on Intercooler

What advantage is the 76mm pipes on a intercooler over 63mm ?

Only asking as a RS500 hose reduces to 63mm when going from the cooler to TB (76mm both ends but reduces to 63mm in the middle)

Wasnt that to stop turbo surge or something along those lines. I remeber reading somewhere that the rs500 had something to restrict it to combat surge. Either in the exhaust or as you mention here by going down to 63mm. Then again i could be totally wrong lol

I have

He said 76mm but did not give a real answer, just bigger is better.

I can't understand why bigger is better if the hose size goes back down to 63mm

I am, i just don't know if i should order one with 63mm ends or 76mm ends lol

Also if i get the 63mm one i don't have to get new boost hoses

No, maybe i should do that first

More money to spend

After 3 runs on the rollers mine always loses power, thats why i think i need a better intercooler

They really are a work of art m8, but Steve is jumping the gun without measuring his temps first i think.
