, I only spoke to him once on the phone, but he was a very very brave guy.. RIP Big fella ..
One small positive amongst the sadness is the absolutly great effort this forum made in collecting over £1100 for him, I really hope that he enjoyed the time away with his family and gave him a small break.

Very sad news, my heart sank as I read the thread title
We spoke via PM a few times and he always came across as a genuine fella with a heart of gold. Im sure he will be dearly missed among his family and friends. My heart goes out to those he left behind.

Its very strange as over the years you build up a "Friend base" even though its through the Internet. People look on and say you are an Internet geek and you dont really "Know" these people.
Well most of the time its right, but you do meet people along the way......... But those that you dont meet you still get to know in a strange way............
Passionford has bought alot of us together as friends ect ect.........

RIP indeed - I was on the periphery of watching my brother loose his best mate only 8 weeks ago to throat cancer..... it was scary how it all happened and how the family knew and when the call came and it was literally hours away.
Not nice - a very sombering occurence.
