What a difference compression struts make

Looking at the rust in the underside of the snapped bolt head, clearly it was cracked for some time before it failed.
Not impossible to make it so the std arb can be retained with the compy struts.

the fact that such safety critical elements of a cars suspension are breaking in road use is concerning!

Did anyone get to the bottom of what happened? And more importantly has the defect been sorted?

Although im sure the handling a well set up car might be, it always concerns me the use of short life/ life expired motorspor componants on road cars unless appropriately redesigned for road lengths of use.

Does anyone actually make TCA's and comp struts designed with the long life spans road use brings?
