The actual hub never changed, the only difference was the very early fiestas(f&g reg) used a much weaker design, the turbo simply used a stronger hub, which was then adopted to all fiesta models from about j reg and on,your si hubs will certainly be the same.

I know, because the factory I worked in made them on the line next to mr for about 20 years!!!!

wrong !! the fiesta si hub wont fit , the hole the shock sits in is bigger and the splins on the shafts too.

Wrong?they're the same parts,I used to work in the ford plant that produced them!!you may well be right regarding the shocker but that's called a knuckle, not a hub,we used to make them as well, but for the escort!!!

I also put a whole leg onto an xr2i before of an si but I didn't seperate anything.we never changed the broaches to suit an si,and knowing ford engineers they most certainly wouldn't have changed an entire production line to suit one model that ran for 2 years!!!

mate anyone that know anything about fiesta's knows there is a difference between the mk3 and mk3.5 hubs ! you can bang on about working in the factory all you like fact is they are different and dont fit .
a lot of people change over to the mk3.5 stuff because of the better wheel bearing but you need to change the shaft and pop a 1mm sleeve in the hub so the shock will fit.

im sure the mk3.5 shocks are a bigger diameter at the bottom than a mk3 a rs or xr or normal 1 would fit

UI know that the XR2i 16v had more splines on the hub, as I had to order one when I broke a CV joint. (everything on that corner was mangled)

Luckily the bloke at the breakers yard I spoke to was really helpful and told me to check how many splines my car had. From memory (6 years or more ) it was 24 or 26 splines..?
