oh and its not on the vin if a late one, its on the plate to the right of the bonnet catch

TBH none of those look anything like paint codes, more like engine box and trim etc

It'll look summat like...

36L 371 apple green

38L 372 Leaf green

**L are the most common or 4AU or 375L are common layouts....

right to clarify, there are 2 plates, one is black and on the LEFT of the bonnet catch, this just has the chassis no and the weight of the car, the plate on the RIGHT of the bonnet catch is body colour and has the following info
