Default More Paypal RANTING

Ok, excuse the language but what the fuck is this latest load of shit on my Paypal account?:

Like fuck am I going to type into Paypal my credit card no and PIN number, yes, it asks for my PIN number

Anyone else get this? Last time I saw it I typed in a load of duff numbers off the top of my head, it accepted it and I made my Payment. This time even when I type in a genuine CC number, it says "please enter correct card no"

Anyone know what this crap is all about?

Si

This sort of bollocks really pisses me off

As if the charges and other crap with Paypal wasn't enough, now we get this shite.

Nightmare with your account getting hacked, I wonder if what I have got on screen is a real Paypal thing or some weird hack.

No-body should be asking for your pin number though, not even your bank, thats just weird/wrong.

Looks like you've been attacked by a Trojan.

This site will give you more info:

http://www.v3.co.uk/vnunet/news/2145...-attack-paypal

A lot of the time the attack comes in on USB Memory Sticks from China. That's how half the MOD network was brought down 18 months ago.

A legit site would never ask for your PIN number, it is no use to them. However it is perfect for anyone making a cloned credit card.

You need to run a good anti virus and anti malware program. This program is good for detecting trojans and the like: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/

Go to the bottom of it today thanks to a very quick email reply from Paypal.

Apparently it's a spoof site, I need to report it using a link they supplied me and they will get it shut down.

I now need to change my password to Paypal and log back in via a new link the Paypal person gave me.

As said above, NEVER ever give your PIN to anyone. Hence me checking, and thankfully not having my account drained by some robbing twat

Sadly, this sort of thing would have "got" someone like my mum and dad... the site looks 100% genuine, and to be fair if it wasn't for asking for the PIN, the rest looks almost reasonable.

Be careful out there folks
