"other 900 quid"

ok.. im assuming you are talking yearly. 27 pence a week, yearly is about £14. Add to your £900 makes about £91 a month over 10 months (usual case with CT in my experience)

What are you moaning over £91 a month for!? I pay £180 you schlaaaaag!

Unfortunately, despite popular belief, I am not rich and £90 is the difference between feeding my kids or not ..LOL

I have heard of people declaring their property as an independant country to get around council tax... time for google

Dave,
the drinks and entertainment industry is on its arse due to the recent finacial troubles caused by greedy/corupt bankers/stock traders...LOL

Cut price drink deals and increased running costs have destroyed any moderate profit for the forseeable future and over 50 pubs a week are closing.

Besides, my share is minor and it is more of a hobby/social thing I do.

Yes.

We should have kept the poll tax. Now we have a system which is based on the size and value of a property, instead of how many people live in a property and use the council provided services.

I.e family of four or five adults living in a mid terrace will be paying less than a single person living in a 3 bed semi.

Yet Ill bet the single person doesnt have an oversized bin and use the council provided services anywhere near as much.

Declare your property as a place of worship (Muslim/Hindu/etc) Ie a mosque and then you won't have to pay council tax

I pay £145 for a 3 bed semi in Suffolk. We have our bins collected when the binmen feel like it, and my road is the only road on the develpment that doesnt get gritted, which also meant i was stranded for 2 days when the snow hit!

Now... i only had to get to about 50 meters to get onto gritted road... but my car just wouldnt make it... how would it of hurted them to grit a little bit further?

Our communal grass doesnt get cut by the council, an old boy does is who lives down the road....

ok ok ok i know council tax goes towards several different things, but its the things that really matter that never seem to get touched!

It takes the pist that they charge on the value of the house?? so someone who lives in a nice area, keeps their property clean and tidy and so the area in general suffers less vandal damage, anti social behaviour and less if any dumping etc and less need for maintenance.

Yet, you get charged more?

As with anything, the harder you worker, they more they can take off you to make up for the scummers that dont work and contribute.

Councils and the Government, they are like robin hood, no make that robin bastards.

Im paying £181 a month on a 5 bed detached in Wrexham at the minute but suppose its the size of the house we are in thats puts it in that price bracket.

I lost it on wednesday just gone though as i put my bins & recycling box out before i left for work but the bin was rammed full and i
had 2 more bin bags which wouldnt go in so left them beside bin.

Upon returning home from work i noticed the 2 bags were still their but bin had been emptied........ Yep the lazy fucking council cunts couldnt be
arsed to put the 2 bags in the cart and left them.

Fooking cats in the area scratched the fookers open and their was rubbish all over the place as it was windy.

I flipped my lid, gathered it all up in new bags, drove down to council offices and launched the fucking lot by their front entrance and legged it.

Talked to my neighnour today who has lived here a while and he said the apparently the council refuse team are not insured to pick up rubbish bags
and put them into cart in case they claim for back injuries

This god dam country is going tits up............

Rant over but felt good dumping said bags on their doorstep LOL

It's a tax you paythe council, and in return you are supposed to get clean streets and your bins emptied every week.

But thus sometimes does not happen and we have to pay more tax the bigger our house is rather than more tax because there are 45 Somalian living ineach room.
