Just got the new Fast Ford in the post and it has a list of cars on the road.
Only 35 Mk1 XR4is are on the road

i know a lad with a 4i that hes building which has never been registered and theres a caspian blue 4i with no interior or kit in a scrappy near me.the guy wont sell anything off it as 'hes going to do something with it'.hes going to watch it rust away if you ask me.

I think about 1700 of the 5000 3drs came to the uk, I imagine 200 of the 500s are in the UK and taxed/sorned so probably 600 odd 3drs still registered in the UK, so approx third still in complete condition.

Correct, there is no 'official' record, or way of finding out definitely how many 500s are on the road.

I have laid my hands on then sold on recently a couple of genuine inner wings for a mk1 sierra 3dr/500/4i,
the 1st was bought by a fella for a cossie, the other one I sold was bought by a fella for a 4i, what a waste

And it is on SORN so one of the 425 rather than the 35.

Surely theres more than 35 xr4is on the road? I know for 6 within 10miles of me including mine that are taxed and on the road. I also have a turbo on tucked away in rare nimbus grey.

that belongs to taps, it's the hunder saloon kit and he's fitted a granada 23v engine in, as well as most of the inside of the granada too including the dash and centre console
