I saw a XR4i in Kings Lynn! Where are the other 34?
Was it a black one, on a "V" plate, if so that's me dad's, I know of another on the road, and two almost concours ones, one for sale at £500 in white.

Theres an XR4i that lives about a mile away from me that I see out and about, pretty sorry state though.
You should start an XR4i registry Steve, a far more exclusive club than the 500's, and it seems this thread has already got about 10% covered

i know a lad with a 4i that hes building which has never been registered and theres a caspian blue 4i with no interior or kit in a scrappy near me.the guy wont sell anything off it as 'hes going to do something with it'.hes going to watch it rust away if you ask me.

the xr4 isnt totally different from the cossy 3dr at all!
xr4 had no bodykit and a v6 engine instead of a turbo 4pot.
running gear is (apart from a few minor differences) the same!

the body shell is the same apart from a rear pillar isnt it?
the seats are on the same base and frames and made by the same company and the basic suspension components like the TCA's swingarms etc are all the same.
its just a different model of the same car.
hows ita different model of the same car when the shell is different and so are 90% of the componesnts
thats like saying the xr4x4 is the same as a 4wd saf cossie when there completly different cars
they arent completely different cars at all! they are both sierra's with hundreds of shared components!
a 205 GTI and a sierra cosworth are completely different cars you mong. take the RS blinkers off.

I like the XR4's, cossie also have a lot of shit bits about them, all are saddled with the crap rear suspension set up for example, I think the 4i looks better than the 3 door cos.

im not having a dig im just stating my opinion. i dont deal with them everyday, but i have worked on the alot. the p100 as standard the front end is the same as an xr4i only with softer springs and smaller brakes, but now it has the 4x4 running gear its the same as any other sierra 4x4. its got the 28mm A/B 283mm discs + calipers, rear vented discs and the cosworth rear beam mounts which i believe is the only transmission difference between an xr4x4 and a 4x4 cosworth.
